ORCHID ORCHESTRA
Orchid Orchestra is a Vancouver-based indie pop band creating lush choral harmonies, shimmering synths, and cinematic electronic textures that balance emotional depth with kinetic energy. Fronted by therapist and songwriter Rupert Hudson, the band blends heartfelt songwriting with themes of vulnerability, self-acceptance, and connection. Orchid Orchestra has received praise from outlets including the Vancouver Sun, and has performed at popular local venues such as the Biltmore Cabaret , Anza Club, and Fox Cabaret alongside sold-out regional tours.
Following their second EP Be Lucky, Orchid Orchestra just released their first full-length album in June 2026, supported by a a number of grants from CreativeBC, SOCAN, and FACTOR. Their live shows combine heartfelt songwriting with immersive, high-energy arrangements that bridge organic and electronic worlds.
TIMOTHY O
Born in Vancouver and now based in Victoria, Timothy O draws from a lifetime of musical influence — rock from his brothers, pop and disco from his sisters, country from his parents, and countless hours self-teaching himself song structure as a teen by listening to various pop/country songs. After releasing his first songs in the early ’90s, including one that received local radio play, Timothy stepped back from music for many years.
Re-emerging with renewed purpose, he has released multiple singles since 2021, with 2025 becoming a breakout year. His song “Memories of Summer” became his most-streamed track, helping fuel a worldwide surge in listeners across streaming platforms. Known for his strong ear, emotive vocals, and melody-driven writing, Timothy creates genre-bending pop songs shaped by real life experiences and genuine connection.
RANDOM OLD LADY
Barbara Shaw has been a songwriter, choir director, accompanist, (guitar, harmonica, kazoo, spoons, percussion, *djembe) and performer since long before most of you were born. With super improv and people skills, she can work a crowd of any kind. Currently she’s added some stand up to her act – You never know what’s coming next with Random Old Lady!!
Barbara can alchemize the essence and emotion of a situation into a deeply crafted song. Or throw together silly and ridiculous lyrics that will make you laugh in spite of yourself and want to sing along.
After a lifetime writing music, Barbara is now officially releasing music. She released “Random Old Lady – All the Hits” in July 2026 and she’s getting ready for a new album release in November 2026.
ACOUSTIC EEL
Elyssa, aka Acoustic Eel, is a guitarist and singer-songwriter based in Vancouver. Originally from Ontario, she came to the West Coast and became a familiar presence in the independent venue circuit
Her songwriting is warm, melodic, and lyrically sharp underneath the gentleness, leaving the audiences deeply inspired.
Elyssa is mostly a live performer, having played in many venues around the city: Container Brewing, Anza Club, The Portside Pub, the Fig Tree, Trees Coffee, community events like Kids Market Summerfest on Granville Island, among others.
She’s also a stand-up comedian and, very recently, she started combining her two passions: music and comedy. The result is a show so funny that you’ll come back for more!
Acoustic Eel started officially releasing her original songs in 2024 and she’s getting ready to release more new music in 2027.
IN THE DARK PARK
In The Dark Park is an alternative / synth-wave band from New Westminster, BC, crafting immersive, cinematic soundscapes that blur genre boundaries. Their music weaves melodic atmospheres with jazz-fusion elements, synth-driven textures, grunge-tinged guitar, and rich layered harmonies.
Rooted in the emotional pull of nostalgia and the moody beauty of the Pacific Northwest, their sound feels both familiar and exploratory, equal parts dark, atmospheric introspection and
uplifting, expansive energy. Drawing inspiration from the music of the ’80s and ’90s, In The Dark Park continuously experiments with unexpected combinations, creating songs that evolve and surprise without losing their emotional core.
Unconcerned with fitting neatly into a single genre (by design), their music is fluid, expressive, and always in motion. The band released their debut album Understory in December 2024, with
a new EP scheduled for 2026. At the heart of In The Dark Park is a commitment to real time live performance: every sound you
hear is performed on stage, transforming layered studio textures into a powerful, immersive live experience.
