However, there is a downside: even though we are lucky to live in this era where we can make it as independent musicians, that comes with a number of overwhelming tasks. I know this very well! I am a musician too!
Luckily, I not only love writing and playing music, I also love planning and organizing, so I created OAK TREE MUSIC to do the heavy lifting for you!. Let’s work together!
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
Let’s figure out together who you are as an artist: what is your mission? Your values? Your superpower? Why is it so important that you share your music with the world? I will also teach you how the music industry works and all you need to know to become a performer and/or a recording artist.
Once we have all the above clear, let’s work on how to communicate it to the world. Finding your audience is just a matter of clear communication.
Sometimes, all you need to level up your career, is just a few lessons. I offer piano, voice, cello, music theory and composition lessons.
If you have your songs already written but just need a piano or cello arrangement or vocal harmonies, I can help you with that! Do you need session musicians for your recordings? I can either do it myself or help you find the right musician for you.
ARTIST MANAGEMENT
You wrote the music, practised it, recorded it and now the world needs to know about it! However, there are a thousand things to take care of when you release music, and we only have 24hrs a day… I hear you! And I can help you!
Let’s plan together a release strategy that makes sense for you, based on your goals, your identity and your budget. We can do Meta ads, Spotify ads, radio campaigns, playlisting, press releases… all of it or just a part. We will have a clear calendar and rollout schedule to make sure your release is a success!
Oh! The dreaded social media content… Doesn’t it make you feel like you are constantly behind? Creating content is not that hard actually. It starts with the habit of recording everything you do and a plan!
I have specialized in social media content for music releases: I plan a 5-week social media strategy for your release, we get together to shoot all we need for those 5 weeks (or I send you a list of videos to shoot if you live in another city), then I edit all the videos and post them for you on Instagram and/or TikTok!
You don’t have a music release coming? You still need to post regularly! I can give you advice, ideas and even help you shoot a few videos!

Your website is your business card. It is your home, where you have everything. From your website, you can direct people to your Spotify, your socials, your store, your shows… I have been creating websites for myself and my bands for the last 20 years, and now I create websites for other artists!

Do you need a venue for your next show? Looking for one can be exhausting! My database of venues in Vancouver, BC, includes community centres, theatres and others. From a small capacity venue of 40 people to venues that hold over 1,000 people. Together, we will find together the venue that fits your needs and budget!
Being on top of all the details of the show can be very overwhelming, though. Luckily, I love planning and organizing! I deal with the booking and communications with the venue; create your posters; help you with the social media promotion; send newsletters to your subscribers; deal with the tickets; take care of any decorations, raffles, surprises or any other details for the show, etc. and you will only have to worry about the music!
The day of the show I can also be in charge of all details to make sure you don’t lose your focus!
Do you need help editing your social media content or your music video? I have been editing and colour grading videos for the last 6 years. Let me hear your vision and I will make it a reality!

TAILORED MUSIC
If you need custom made music for your project don’t hesitate to reach out! Even though I was trained as a classical musician, I have experience in other genres like pop, world music, jazz… For me, music is all about the story. What are you trying to say? What’s the message? I will use any musical element needed to serve your story and make sure the audience gets inspired by it.
You have written a song but need some instrumental arrangements? I can write a piano and/or cello accompaniment or some vocal harmonies. Enhance your song with music tailored to the meaning of your lyrics. That way, your story will be more meaningful!

Sometimes, you need music sheet of your music for registration purposes, or because you need to send some lead sheets to your musicians. Writing those can be time consuming and excruciating if you are not familiar with any of the music notation software out there. Good news! I have been using those programs for 30 years, so I can write those music sheet for you!
